    A Concept Map or Conceptual Map is a graphical tool used to represents the relationship between multiple concepts. This tool helps to organize and create a structure for the information. They contain central branches within the relation between other concepts. A concept map represents the different shapes linked by arrows with others and creates a tree.

    A simple or complex concept map is made with key elements including concepts and relationships. Concepts are usually representing in circles, ovals, or box shapes and called nodes. Relationships are representing in arrows and they linked to the concepts. These arrows of the relationships are said to be cross-links. A concept map helps to visually dig into a particular concept in detail. These diagrams push an individual to explore the topics, subtopics, understanding the relation, and organize the thoughts in a systematic way.

    Types of the Concept Map

    There are four different types of Concept maps and usually used in daily life routines. They must include:

    2. Flowchart Concept Map
    3. Hierarchy Concept Map
    4. System Concept Map

    1. Spider Concept Map
    2. This type of map is usually looking like a spider web. Using this concept map, you should start your idea at the center and divide the subtopic outwards using a radical pattern.

    3. Flowchart Concept Map
    4. A flowchart concept map used to show up the overall steps of a particular process. In this map, arrows are generally representing the different choices that actions are taken.

    5. Hierarchy Concept Map
    6. This type of concept map is typically used to show the order of something. For instance, you should think about your company’s organizational formats. Therefore, this can show the role of the people according to their level of leadership.

    7. System Concept Map
    8. A system concept map is the most complex concept map. They show all of the parts of a concept or idea and tells how these concepts are linked with each other. In this map, lines contain ‘+’ and ‘-’ signs for correlations. These maps usually looking like webs but don’t move outwards.
